A Tribute to the fallen 44
Today is a national day of mourning for the fallen 44...
The 44 Police-Special Action force that was brutally killed by the MILF and BIFF at Mamasapano town in Maguindanao.
They died on a mission following orders of the superiors... The superiors who now try to wash their hands passing the guilt on somebody else.
For me it is a senseless death but they were sent on battle... and they went... following the orders of their superior... on the premise that they were protecting the country... never thinking that no one was protecting them.
So many lives lost... So many families mourning the loss of their good men.
Senseless loss... but they were elite forces and they would not run from a battle...
I remember Florante's song and dedicate it to them...
Rest in peace fallen heroes... but for the one responsible for your death, may peace elude them till they accept their responsibility.
