My old celfone lives!
I lost my new celfone again.
This is the second time I am losing a celfone and like the first celfone I lost, my new celfone is black and shiny. Well it is not exactly that new, I've had it for sometime but I still have my old nokia 6230 celfone which I feel more comfortable but I was going to give it to a niece and was just going to transfer the phonebook... but I guess it is telling me that I should not part with it... that maybe it is my lucky celfone :)
Why? because last time I lent it to a niece while I had the first black celfone and it got lost...ahh okay.. it was stolen like the new celfone but thinking about it would only make me mad, well not as mad as the first time since this time i only lost the celfone and still had my wallet and my cards and IDs -- so still feel lucky!
But more than losing, i just look at my old celfone and thinks how lucky it is to still be around. Or maybe I am the lucky one since it does serve me well even if it is old and so outdated compared to the units you see people using.
Anyway it made me recall an old quote from Garrison Keillor which I first read in the Reader's Digest a long long time ago. He says "Some luck lies in not getting what you thought you wanted but getting what you have, which once you have got it you may be smart enough to see is what you would have wanted had you known."
And I indeed feel that I am one lucky girl! :)
